We offer a variety of projects for you to choose from that all contribute to our mission. You can choose from several options, from starting smaller and planting a single tree, to supporting a larger ecosystem conservation. On this page you can read about their benefits and differences to choose the one that resonates with you.

The two most meaningful ways to contribute are our restoration and conservation projects.

CONSERVATION

Your contribution not only helps us to purchase and protect mature forests from logging and development but also contributes to the conservation of natural habitats and the protection of biodiversity. These forests have the potential to provide a home for a variety of wildlife including the endangered Eurasian lynx and Siberian flying squirrel,. Protecting existing forests is crucial to prevent the release of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. Our conservation projects work to preserve natural habitats and protect biodiversity, while ensuring that these forests continue to sequester carbon and provide other essential ecosystem services.

Preserving existing habitats and protecting endangered species is crucial for maintaining the ecological balance and biodiversity of Estonian forests. Studies have shown that the average carbon storage of Estonian forests is 268 ± 56 Mg C/ha, with up to 379 ± 56 Mg C/ha in old forests.

Deforestation can lead to the release of up to 75% of that stored carbon into the atmosphere.Forest harvesting and processing activities emit an estimated 10-20 tons of CO2 per hectare, which further emphasizes the importance of sustainable forest management practices.

For your contribution you will receive carbon credits that are direct result of preserving the carbon stored in the forest and avoiding the release of carbon due to deforestation and forestry activities.

RESTORATION

Your contribution will help us purchase carefully selected land with the potential to thrive with additional care. We will be planting a diverse range of trees on this land, creating a more resilient ecosystem. By using native tree species and other vegetation, we aim to improve biodiversity, soil health, wildlife habitat, and carbon sequestration. With your support, we can not only grow new biodiverse forests and provide new safe habitat for our endagered species like Great Grey Owl, Golden Eagle and Black Stork,, but also play a vital role in mitigating climate change by sequestering carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases.

Afforestation and reforestation projects in Estonia could respectively sequester approximately 7.4 and up to 12.5 tons of CO2 per hectare per year over a 50-year period, with an average sequestration rate of 10 tons of CO2 per hectare per year.

As trees grow, they absorb and store carbon dioxide from the atmosphere through photosynthesis. Well-established young birch, at the age of six, begin to store more carbon than they release.By the age of eight, these forest are able to store a significant amount of carbon per hectare, comparable to the annual carbon emissions of one Estonian.

For the contribution you will receive 2 years worth of credits this project generates (CO2 sequested in biomass, deadwood, litter, soil).

For supporting our efforts, you will also receive personalised updates with photos and videos, personalized land/signpost to that land, naming rights of the land, and a unique wooden certificate recognizing your contribution.

Plant A Tree

Allows buyers to plant a spruce or pine tree in an already existing land.

Supports our efforts to restore and protect significant amounts of land, improve biodiversity, and sequester carbon in the long run.

As a thank you for contributing, buyers will receive a personalized certificate recognizing their contribution.

Land contribution

Contribution helps us cover the cost of purchasing the land. This money will go towards the acquisition of the land and will not cover planting or maintenance.

This option is perfect for those who want to make a significant contribution to our cause and help us acquire more land for our projects.

As a thank you for your contribution, you will receive a personalized certificate recognizing your contribution to the acquisition of the land, right to name the land and a signpost to the land. Additionally you will receive two years worth of carbon credits generated from this project(generated from soil, plants, excisting trees and new trees)

Wooded meadows

Restoration or generation of wooded meadows which are important ecosystems that support diverse plant and animal communities, provide important ecosystem services such as pollination and water regulation, and sequester carbon.

Your support helps us purchase suitable land, plant native trees and shrubs, removing invasive species, and restore traditional management practices such as grazing.

For your contribution, you will receive a personalized land post to the restored site and a certificate recognizing your contribution, regular personalised video and photo updates and 2 year worth of carbon credits this project generates.
